John and Robin Gumaelis recently moved into a new home. The home needed extensive work, so items were kept outside during the remodeling phase. Gradually, they noticed items disappearing.
They started to wonder what allows a person to take something from someone else. Does the taker think he deserves it more—needs it more? They explore this theme using cages and ladders in connection with out how they feel about taking and being taken.
