Artist Statement
As a creative professional, I work in two very different worlds.
As an illustrator my world is about control. At the keyboard I am in
charge of multiple layers and unlimited undoes. My thoughts are
expressed with vectors and pixels that live inside a virtual box.
There is always an ending, a sense of completion, a deadline.
As an artist my world is full of accidents. Paint and brushes need to
be coaxed in compliance. Ideas are in layers that must dry, and a
mistake can mean starting over. My purpose is dubious at best. I do
not know when to quit. Or if I am not done yet.
And I would not change a thing.
